looking for a new engine...for the p38 bmw diesel 1998?

had a look and theres no sign of leaks from anywhere....said there was evidience or a anti freeze/coolant mix in the air vent hole down my the drivers left leg.said if no signs of leak its going out throu exhaust and that a head gasket job.

land rover specialist seems to think head gasket....bloody another £600 if that case....if new head £1200 on its own.

forgot to add the temp gauge sometimes went down when going round corners....dnt no if that means anything more

bought the 2.5 dse p38 mid sept with 120k on clock. three weeks later had to top the water coolent up as temp gauge rose and red light came on....now tonight its happened again.topped up and now fine...when bought the car the guy had a water bottle in boot but when asked was it for over heating...

ok thats all i wanted to no was either yes or no.

yeah i heard from people that all diesel engines will run and run with mix of 50;50 so it doesnt gunk up. but wanna hear if any one knows about the range rovers.

this is probably been asked a hundered times but being new i have to ask...have a p38 range rover diesel.....can vegtable oil be used in it...does anything need to be done to use it?

one or two blown but thought mite go for different colour scherme

bulbs arent the problem im wondeing how hard is it to get to them all in the dash?

how hard is itto change all the dashboard lights (BULBS) on a p38 1998 reg.

not the indicators that have gone....just one of the side lite blbs blown, but dont know which replacement i shud b looking for
