Hi all, when i put my foot on the brake it seems to be a bit looser than normal and also there is a quiet hissing noise coming from around the pedal!!! When I pump the brakes they get stiffer, any ideas? :confused:

When i open my back door, occasionally it shuts properly the first time, other times it doesnt catch, and the window doesnt go up!! Do i need to be bit rougher with it and slam it or do ya reckon there is a fault? Ta.:confused:

Thanks for your reply, took it back to garage and it was some sort of pipe that was disconected, that caused a vacume!! Thanks again.:)

Just got my TD4 back after having turbo fixed, no the brakes dont seem to be the same, not sure if im being paranoid, though!! Brakes work fine if used once, but if at a junction and stoping and starting the brakes get stiffer every time i use them!! Then as soon as im driving again they go back...

Garage has just called and said the turbo has been fixed, but my car will still spew out white smoke for a while as it is burning the excess oil!! This sounds a bit worrying!! Should it still smoke if it has been changed? TA.:)

NO different problems, 1.HDC warning light coming on 2.Turbo hose split 3.Tailgate window regulator broke 4.turbo gone Do does this mean i can expect more ptoblems? I love the car it's very smart, but cant afford for it to all go wrong as have no money left!!!!

I have had it for 6 weeks, its a TD4 03 plate, it has been in the garage 4 times already, now the turbo has gone on it. It is still under warrenty so im not paying. Are freelanders really this bad??? Do i sell it and forget landrovers all together???:confused:

Ive been told my 03 freelander needs a new one of these as the rear window has dropped. I have been quoted £181 for one. this seems sooooo expensive. does anyone know where i can get a cheaper one from, maybe second hand? Thanks :)

thanks all, it went to the garage this morning and they said it will most likely to be the hose. At least its still under warranty :)

I have had my freelander for 3 weeks now, we have just been away. On the way back on the motorway i noticed it was spewing out black smoke from the exhust, also the engine didnt seem as powerful when i excelarated. Does this mean the exhust has blown, or could it be another problem? Also will it...
