4.4 engine oil leak in the plugs will proberly be the rocker cover gasket.
You may get a engine fault due to cranking with plugs and coils disconnected and the fuel pump relay out too

most coman is the speedo drive unit in the t box or the unit at the end of the short speedo cable or the cable cruise needs a speed signal so to does the cruise a engine ecu fault read should show a loss of road speed signal giving a ides of the fault

testbook can do it but sometimes wont coms with the ecu i have the original 14cux tester because of this issue.
throttle position swithc is a fave so to is a afm fault as well.
for all the simple bits of 14 cux when it is not happy it still needs a fault read to see and a live data test to see...

Any engine over filled will cause issues!
Start by draining off the excess clean the engine then look for leaks
