    FL1 Td4 injector ident req'd.

I'm having trouble with a garage who replaced all 4 injectors with what they claim are new. The engine revs once then goes into limp-mode with the new injectors. I suspect the garage may have got them from a scrapped vehicle. I'll add the identification numbers from one injector (they're all...

    Stuck No3 injector. Help?

My 2005 FL1, Td4, has a stuck injector. No's 1,2 & 4 were easily removed and in an as-new condition. The engine failed on the No3 cylinder. A limp mode kicked in, and moving was nigh on impossible. I've treated the injectors fitment with lots of WD40, but all to no avail. It refuses to turn or...

    Smoking Exhaust FIXED at last

I replaced the MAP sensor. I noticed the probe wasn't a tight fit so added an additional ring seal that was trapped tight as the sensors was bolted into position. At last. No smoke or nasty smells of exhaust.

    Smokey & smelly exhaust!

Hey, I've tried to edit my report, adding a few essentials but I'm new to this Forum & don't know how to. My repair/Mod has worked & my wife has now opened the windows. And that ... says it all.

    Smokey & smelly exhaust!

Our 96 Td4 has been a stinking vehicle for a few years, getting worse through time. I changed the turbo, filters, used top-range fuel, added Injector cleaning additives, etc. And all to no avail. Geez! My wife wouldn't let me open any windows, including the split sunroof as it allowed the stink...

    Freelander 1 Air Cooler cleaning?

Hi. My 2005 FL1 Td4, air-cooler from the Turbo needs cleaning-out and wonder if anyone has a simple method of doing so? There is one method of removing the bumper, etc, to remove it, but might there be an easier method? The reason? My turbo, which is about to replaced - tomorrow, has been...

    FL1 Td4, 2005, Clutch master question.

My clutch is yet to be repaired. But until then, my clutch periodically loses oil. The reservoir only has so much oil, and the large rubber bulge reduces the amount of oil held in the reservoir. My question is, why the heck is there a huge rubber bulge stuck to the cap that intrudes into the...

    FL1 Td4, 2005, Clutch master question.

Hi. My Clutch Slave Master has a large rubber-bulge on the cap's inside, which displaces a lot of the oil when fitted. What is the purpose of this large rubber-cap? What if I removed it? Leaving the cap on its own. It would allow a larger amount of fluid in the Master Slave unit. But might there...

    Freelander 1 Td4 2005 clutch M47 engine 109 Hp

I already have a master slave as I originally thought the problem was there. However, a puddle oil from the clutch housing proved otherwise. I'll keep the spare Master as that, a spare. I carry a substantial tool-kit and a box of spares. It will be added. Thanks for your thoughts.

    Freelander 1 Td4 2005 clutch M47 engine 109 Hp

I'm pretty sure the following clutch-kit is the one for my Lander. Might anyone know for certain, before I actually buy it? It matches my SUV, but just want to be certain. ------------------------------------------------------------------ LuK 623 3772 33 Clutch Kit for LAND ROVER Freelander I...
