Thanks Artic2!
Got something on order from the local auto parts place. I was worried about engine temps melting plastic so I found a generic heater part with similar dimensions.
Hopefully it'll get here this week.
Thanks again

Hi everyone,
Anyone know what the technical name is and if I can just order this one part?
Looks like it could be a generic Dorman Tee coupler that uses normal hose clamps.
Just had this tiny plastic piece fail. Just need to replace it as the hoses are still really good. ( had the coolant...

Thanks for posting this! I'm sure it will come in handy in the near future.

Ok thanks for the advice. I believe it's been out for at least 6 months so I'll look into changing out the dryer as well.
There is a coolant specialist on the neighboring island so I was thinking about getting it all installed myself and have them check the system for leaks and refill.

I don't get out very much and didn't see the other guys question.

Well I'm back. I feel like a bad friend that only stops by when they need something... Last time it was Transmission troubles which forced my wife to make me actually define when "till the wheels actually fall off" means. Seriously we had one of those sit down discussions. Anyways so now she...

Been a great little car so far and continues to serve us well.
Sure I've had my share of troubles like everyone else.
Hitting 120k about now on an KV6 04 SE3. I'm the original owner.
Had a jacked up IRD issue which was misdiagnosed my mechanic which led to
Transmission Replacement - same...

Well the first time the heater core was leaking coolant into the cabin.
The second time was due to w.i.f.e. o_O

Thanks guys.
Despite being the "red-headed stepchild" of Land Rovers I really do love it. The only thing I'd trade it for is a Defender.
And now after replacing the transmission it's practically a new car!
I've replaced the entire cooling system - TWICE!
New IRD, CVs, Engine Mounts...

I'm back! I can't believe it! Swapped out the TCMs, which all of 5 minutes and it WORKED!!!! It drives great all things considering and shifts smoother than it has in a long time.
Thank you so much zefrench! You were absolutely right!
Land Rover must of used whatever Stockpile of JATCO...

Yes I've had these mounts swapped out probably a year ago. This was precursor to me buying a rebuilt IRD and having that installed.
Same shop - different problem and another long story but I feel it's a prequel to my transmission going bad. Basically they refused to believe the IRD had gone...

Yeah I'm also wondering if the fluid is low. The car shifts into reverse without a problem. I hope he didnt do this, I know he knows about it because he said it's why he was nervous about changing the ATF fluid in the first place.
I've been in touch thru email with Dave at Ashcroft. He's...

I've tried it (TCM substitute) and it does work but a few times it shifted so horrible it put the car into F4 / limper mode.
Shifting was ok at times - so I would almost think the ECU needs to adjust to the new shifting points on the newer transmission - but at other times resulted in a...

I'm going to try to get up there today and try this. The shop originally refused to install the Transmission based on the different pin outs on the TCM connector.
If this does not work it may need
UHC500170 KV6 NAS 5A000001 to --------
But what you have written does make sense and...

So obviously there is a difference in the TCM part numbers here but am I reading this right? It seems like this would be backwards.
UHC500110 KV6 NAS 3A225000 to 4A410062
Wouldn't this represent older vehicles before the transmission change?
