Are you serious or just trying to get me out there rubbing down my landy for no real reason? : ) How does washing powder make the colour in the paint come back?

The thing is that the original blue is lookin almost grey, it's that bad. So, the plan is get it looking shiny and then work on getting it to that dull matt colour afterwards, hoping that it'll still look blue. Thanks for the advice, I will be getting to work!

If the paint is really dull does it mean a respray? Or is there any magic that can be done to make it look shiny and new?

Obviously it's not clear from the fact that; a) I am the one who is a member of this forum & b) He drives a ford that I am the landy lover in this relationship, it'll be me trying to tinker away but nevermind most people would jump to that conclusion...
