I have a 54 plated TD4 Freelander 1. Recently I had an error showing on dash, pic attached. Issue with automatic transmission with yellow hill decent sign & flashing F & 4 fault sign. Any suggestion as what could this be for? Issue while driving is that there is a thud sound when the car starts...

I changed the low pressure fuel pump to the original one Nodge68 suggested. Still no changes. The pump works (again loud & clear sound, much more that the original one ever did). Don't know what else can I do? Any suggestions will be highly appreciated.

thanks, will check that & report back. The low pressure fuel pump makes a proper sound when the keys are turned on? What I mean is that the sound is pretty prominent than ever before.Just wanted to ensure that it is the right replacement I got low LR023043...

thanks. We had changed both the low pressure fuel pressure pump LR023043 (Hope this is the right one) & the filter. Yes, can hear the pump now, loud & clear :). Will get back to you with the rest of the steps.

Any suggestions please. The car still doesn’t turn on despite changing the low pressure fuel pump.

Can someone please tell me as which is the right part number for the low pressure fuel pump (located just above the rear driver side wheel)? Is it LR020625 (no fuel separator) or LR023043 (with fuel separator)? This if for a FL-1 TD4 2004. many thanks.

Sorry for the typo. Well managed to take it to my local garage. Scan didn’t show anything. Don’t know what to do? The engine for that matter starts when multiple attempts are made with some sort of timing the AA guy told me. Any clue?
