stripped the top off my p38 diesel to see what the squealing was and boy did i get a shock Pipes split and repaired with cellatape, bolts broken in manifold, heat shield in two pieces, oil leaking down side of engine ive learnt a big lesson on buying one of these, but im glad i spent the time...

Checked for splits and general wear, checked tension of belt and adjusted would have thought if it was belt it would squeal on tick over, this squeals then stops and then squeals when it feels like it, put your foot down when squealing and it yells

hi guy's got a p38 2.5 diesel thats has developed a load squealing noise, checked fan belt seems to be when you put your foot down it squeals me thinks its the water pump anybody got any ideas thanks steve :doh: :blabla:

Hi be carefull, that happened to mine last week and the stealers told me i needed a new door latch, car running now but has many faults that werent there before. Stealers blamed age of car but still charged me £225.41 for new door latch Research this guy first he came recommend via this forum...

hi to all thanks for comments but, i dare not touch this car at minute as i only got it back today. had problems since last wednesday when the batteries in the key fob were changed, car wouldnt start again i had to get it down to strathstones by AA as they dont have a breakdown truck. sadly...

thank you for all your comments they told me they were only asked to fit door control and get car running They wanted to do the decm but wanted £600.00 + vat and also £225.00 to fit new passenger door control and this would solved the problem hopefully they said I dont think they have put a test...
