The three blocks if I remember correctly are for the cd changer, subwoofer and the headphone controls in the boot so you will lose all three. You can get blanking plates for where the headphone controls go.

Check the wiring that goes through the door its in a rubber tube, this is where mine had broke.

Do a search on three amigos, there's loads of info, you're leak is likely to be your sunroofs which is a case of removing headlining taking sunroofs out and reasealling them you try putting Vaseline round the sunroof seal first which can sometimes cure the problem.

I used mtf 94 in mine lodexol by Morris lubricants and is fine .

Buy second hand seats and get them retrimmed.

When you say donor vehicles do you mean defenders or yank motors ?

Was that a full lenth chassis or just the rear piece. Mine is a 04 plate and seems solid at the moment.

I'm saving my money already in a tin (chassis fund) for when the inevitable does happen.

Why not get yours remapped it won't seem slow then ?
