The exhaust port seep could be just a tracking leak from a waterway through the head gasket to exhaust port but the only way to know is head off.
Can see other core plugs have been renewed and the heater transfer pipe has been replaced with...
You put all the shims IN ! ?
You may have to re do the swivel pin's/swivel bush's due to them having been set to loose.
Swivel pre load involves using the right number and thickness of shims to set the load [ a pull of approx 12fp at the end of...
I have said this before but back in the day I recon Land Rover had Man Mountain lean on the nut to do it up as first time removal has been the worst. The locking tab in pic may be non standard but one should be fitted.
The shaft splines and the arm hole are tapered so when nut done up it goes tight, real tight. [ if it was you who removed the arm you will know how tight they can be] The security lock tab is standard fit.
There is a master spline and if not...
You can get an aftermarket one for about £55 and has done its job several times on my rocky coast farm. After a meeting with a hidden boulder it was banana shaped but had done its job protecting things further back.
Don't know if this will help but a couple of years ago my 2a would spin over slowly only if it had a fully charged battery after checking connections and replacing starter solenoid I tried starter with good jump cables direct to a battery...
Still have one on mine. It is a standard Land Rover tubular steering guard to protect output arm and steering rod from knocks off road. Mine has a length of scaffold inside. [ met a rock or two in its time]
No issue with its removal for road use...
Since the fuse box has been changed you will need to do as mentioned above. Since the vehicle isn't stock it's hard to say what has been done. Operate a few things and check which one clicks, then label them or you will forget for next time.
See your getting closer ... information is coming ...
Let me write your introduction email for you.

I have a TD5 landrover from 200X
Here is a picture of it with a nice background as I am in...
Yes, common enough. I did that very job for a mate some years ago. Also many have had drum brake rear axle replaced with later disc brake axle. Box of chocolates as Forrest said.:):)
My bet is the engine was replaced much later, Discovery only came on the market in 89 ish.
Mine is a 1990 Ninety with 200 fitted in the naughty's.
Last year recovered the center seat and had to use later type cover.
It can be a bit of a fight to...
As above, yours is not Defender it is a Land Rover Ninety or One Ten. Your 200tdi engine is a later replacement for original engine. There are a number of differences with 83 to 86 trucks from later models.
If you can get the tank down to half, siphon and stick dip while you have sender out and then trial fit sender bending the arm to get gauge to read about right. Probably the best you will get.
Divide 250ft/pounds by your weight in pounds which will give to the length of bar in feet to stand on , if bar a bit longer just use tape to measure length where to stand
Maybe do the final torque over the 210 when you know everything works and...
Possible there was no free play at clutch master cylinder rod, the result is like someone riding the clutch pedal all the time .
Clutch does not fully engage and so slips some and will wear out quick.
