Hey guys, any ideas why the engine revs dont drop off for a couple of seconds when changing gear? doesnt do it every time and the only fault found in the garage was just a poor conection to the egr valve. And yes i am lifting my foot off the pedal! Thanks

Hey rob1979, sounds alot like my 08 110, an odd eek eek eek noise when you turn off even tho the engines come to a complete stop! also like you say during gear changes, well it turned out to be the EGR valve on the exhaust manifold. The new bit cost just under £100 which is'nt to bad i guess...

1/2 inch surly, oh and a hammer!:)

Why does an engine overheat? check the obvious mate, breaks rubbing? stuff like that, before you blame the engine, yet to have any probs with mine, tho i've only done about 1000 miles!

Top tip real, just go's to show it is really the simple things you need to check first, rather than thinking the worst! great picture by the way, where did you get that, i want one ,series1 would be better!!

Hey Miles, stick with the N/A for now, if theres nothing wrong with it that is! like Martin said insurance would be a nightmare on a tdi, get a year or two under yer belt first. i know that sounds really old and boring but you've got plenty of time for more powerful motors, more than most of us...

Hi Umar and:welcome2: if local knowledge is some wot lacking your probably better of sticking to 2.5 petrol or diesel as this is wot the vehicle would of had to start with! not much power but easy to work on and last for ages( petrol ones any way) as for side windows, well i'm just looking in to...
