    Had a problem with my immobiliser/alarm on my disco 300tdi. Solved now using the 4 digit code bypass. The problem is when I come to lock the door with the key, the immobiliser/alarm re-initiates! and I have to go through the bypass procedure again - how do I bypass it and keep it bypassed...

    I have a 300TDI Disco '97. This morning came to drive it and the central locking won't work. Used the key and the alarm went off! Any tips? Can I isolate the alarm system in any way? Worked absolutely fine yesterday and for the last 12 months since I bought it.

    Got a '97 disco 300. It takes about 15-20 turns for it to fire up initially with a lot of black/grey smoke. If you stop it and re-start within 2 hours everything is fine but beyond 2 hours then it takes ages to start again - any ideas?

    I have used good replacements but it keeps blowing. I have tried the repairing solder trick but it doesn't work. Anyone any ideas on bypassing the ECU?
