I agree. Had the same problem with mine. Fitted a new master/slave cylinder kit but it only improved it slightly. Looks like a replacement clutch kit is the only answer.

According to the Haynes,you have to remove the centre armrest/storage box and adjust the cables there. Hope this helps.
