OK. The electrical specialists hooked up the freelander to the Bosch diagnostics to no avail. They had a quick spin around the block and the problem did not reappear. It started to rain so they turned on the lights and VOILA the problem appeared.

Hi Just a quick update
The landrover specialist think it * might* be the throttle potentiometer and have referred me to a specialist company with more sophisticated electronicequipment and they will have a look at the throttle potentiometer and whether it needs replacing.

The front left/right interior side lights dont work. The middle light and rear passenger lights work fine. Does anyone know where to get the bulbs for these or which fuse to replace ?

Brought it to a Landrover dealer today who ran a diagnostics check and could not find any problem (although they spotted that the rear differential was broken - something that K*F*T failed to do. They also saw some fuel leaking from one of the injectors and will fix both of these problems...

K***f*t did the work. They have now acknowledged that there is a problem (but claim its unrelated to the service) and are currently looking at the solenoid as a possible cause of the problem.

We brought our Freelander XEDi (manufac 2000) for a service and MOT last week. When we picked it up, we found that we kept losing power on acceleration. We returned to the garage who kept the the car overnight and they replaced the fuel fliter.
