ok, so i'm either being thick or blind... fault code A/C control relay malfunction...is this an issue with the compressor solenoid, the climate control unit in the car ie 'electronic relay on the circuit board' (which is being changed shortly anyway) or is there a relay somewhere that i can't...
-
didn't help matters that the original battery that was on the car was shot (which i replaced) it was then the brand new battery that went as flat as a pan cake. All this not helped by the ominous smell of burnt electronics,(being the climate control module).
I replaced that with another unit...

me too... battery as flat as a witch's boobs...resistor is on order in turn this has also shagged the climate control panel...looking at alternatives as the original units were prone to faults...

just about to change out the climate control unit in the centre console (again)
have ordered a new porcupine resistor (the spines are bigger than a hedgehog) in the hope this might stave the sudden battery drain issue and also stop the CC unit from burning out. Still got to check out some other...

sound advice indeed...tomorrows first task is to do exactly that... and as for the poxy piece of plastic, only found out it was an attachment when the wife said it looks like it clips into place and better than that i've ordered a BMW plug to fit it. = makes me stupid and in need of a new pair...

omnipresent as ever! I'll double check the MOST plug tomorrow although it obviously only goes in one way and check out the switched live which seems to be what's happening which may explain why the working or not, as the case may be...
-
ok here goes....BMW unit now plugs straight into the car after a small trim down of the 54 pin plug and also found that the MOST plug also fits straight into the hole on the unit (after you remove a plastic adaptor which clicks into place).
After realising the unit needs an earth it sprung into...

cheers for the intel, got to add on that i dont really need the BT unit, its more the fact that as the Missus and myself are going to keep the car so i just want everything up and working. That and the fact i'm so bloody minded that i WILL make it work....
The Gap iid tool is a wonderful piece...

Just gotta love this forum...soooo much knowledge. BTW supposed to say MULF2 not milf as that's completely something different!
The pin configuration is the same and plug is almost identical, but as the plug is made up of a 36pin and 18pin two part slidey into the main carriage affair, i have...

just been flitting over all afore mentioned and have to ask this...C0063-28 (40) what do the numbers in the brackets refer to?
Are they in a similar vein to gm codes where 40 is for ecu programme failure? sorry...just asking...

pin out on the original BT unit would be handy if you could pass it on.. Interesting to see that the unit out of the 2010 is still marked up as ford and not labelled as land rover. However, if it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck etc.....
to that end, i have got my grubby fingers on a...
