Is the synergy box good in general?
-
-
Yeah I'm not really looking for a drag car just a little bit more plus with torque for off road and a more economical mode for longer journeys.
I'm just a little apprehensive with auto boxes and their limits.

Hi folks I'm just wondering if there's anything to look out for when increasing power output with an auto gearbox. It's a 2005 td4, and about to have the engine rebuilt cleaned etc with a synergy 2 box and some other mods to increase power but I'm unsure if the auto box can take it.
Any advice...

The autotek and Halfords aerosols are fine sprays but the Halfords spray nozel needs widening with a pin before you use it as none I've ever used worked off the bat and clogged real easy plus Halfords only ever stock two tins at a time which was a pian as I needed 8

It's definitely not to everyone's taste, however in the flesh it really does smarten up the paint work and yes no more polishing.
A fair few of my customers live down some ****ty tracks and private roads and it had picked up alot of pits and scratches over the last two years. A cheap and easy...

More pics of bed liners, so I decided to go full raptor Basalt grey on the body and Halfords on the black trim.

Anyone here from Fermanagh?

I've been thinking of doing more but in another colour maybe green but don't want to over do it and end up with a ricer car.
I will be doing the sills and inner doors as they are now scratched up.

Thank you, I managed to pick up a VCU and prop shafts from a scrap yard free of charge plus alot more bits and pieces. The VCU will be fitted soon as I get time. Again thanks for your vids fitting new seals on the hp fuel regulator tomorrow as per your vid, good work sir.

It does look way better. It would have been a nice touch from factory.

Sorry about the late reply! It holds up really well, I've had it on my wheels for over a year and there is no scratching or peeling. prep well and it will last a long time. Drys very quick and hard.

I watch your YouTube vids buddy fantastic, are you doing one on the VCU service and checks?

New turbo
New injectors
New starter motor
Window regs all doors
Needs a new thermostat.
Second hand VCU going on after a refurb
Other than that it's a mint 2005 td4 with 130.000 m
No complaints.
