Quite chuffed to say using a spanner and a leatherman I got the front prop shaft off this morning in the hotel underground car park .......... and yes it does drive quite well on just the rears ...... so thanks for that advice. Just wait for the new bit to arrive now ..........then I can get...

Can anybody confirm a part number for me ........... Im about a zillion miles from home and in 3 ft of snow and minus 10 :) and the Rear UJ joint on the front prop shaft has S**t its pants. Just found a complete shaft brand new on ebay part number FTC4140 (is what they are quoting)...

here's something I never considered ............... Its minus 11 at the mo ..... tyres are all down about 12 psi ....... duh .... well everyone knows that air expands/contrcts with temp .... just never occured to me that tyre pressure would drop so much ....... anyway, sorted now.

O2 or lamda sensors would do this I think, could be wrong, they are not expensive and easy to change. If you dont have the equipment yourself, its worth paying the 80 quid or so to have a dealer plug into it and get a definite answer - saves the hassle of changing too many things

I should add that I drill oil wells for a living and have a temporary assignment in Norway ..... and Im in between assignments. So the adventure is tied in with travelling for my work ...... and between jaunts, I'm in hotels paid for by the company ........:) and ......... they are paying for...
