    td5 straight through pipe

I found that the studs on the rear section of mine were completely unusable. I had to cut them off and drill 10mm holes in it and use M10 bolts and nuts to bolt it up. I did this for the mid to de-CAT section too. As above, the sound is amazing. You can actually hear the turbo working now. It...

    home made bumpers

As it will most likely be made of metal, it will be far more dangerous to a pedestrian in a crash so if the insurance company isn't informed not only will you not receive a payout and will get your insurance invalidated, you could face criminal charges. Just tell them and be safe.

    TD5 De-CAT - MoT Issues

The CAT does look like a silencer.

    TD5 De-CAT - MoT Issues

Well mine's staying off regardless. The tester isn't allowed to remove anything for the MoT, and my emissions were better with it removed than last year anyway.

    TD5 De-CAT - MoT Issues

Think I will just leave it on then until I can get one with a fake CAT. I've read that removing the EGR will fail the MoT, but as you can't even see it without removing the engine cover (which the tester can't do), I think it will stay off.

    TD5 De-CAT - MoT Issues

Well that's one of the reasons I started a new topic, to try and get some up to date information as most of the topics I found when searching were from 2008/09. If it will fail the MoT, how come so many people have it?

    TD5 De-CAT - MoT Issues

Thanks for the responses. Is this with cars that were fitted with CATs as standard?

    TD5 De-CAT - MoT Issues

First of all, I have done a search, however there doesn't seem to be any concluding information anywhere. So, I'm asking if I fitted a De-CAT down pipe to my 2004 TD5 Disco, will it give the tester any reason to fail it? I'm after answers from people who actually know the facts or maybe...

    Td5 Fueling Problem

After replacing the above, the car now runs beautifully. I've also spent the day changing engine, gear box, trans. box and diff oils plus all the other fluids ready for my expedition next week :) It makes a world of difference, if your LR is ever feeling a bit ill, change its fluids, that'll...

    Discovery 2 towbar electrics

I'm guessing by 'single electrics' you mean the black socket that provides power for the trailer's lights? And you want to fit a white socket to provide power to a caravan?

    Td5 Fueling Problem

Hi guys, In April I did a full service on my Td5 Disco. I changed the fuel filter which was a mistake. I think it has air in the system. I have read and used lots of procedures to bleeding the diesel system but as far as I can work out, none have worked. It takes a while to start (about 10-20...
