As it will most likely be made of metal, it will be far more dangerous to a pedestrian in a crash so if the insurance company isn't informed not only will you not receive a payout and will get your insurance invalidated, you could face criminal charges. Just tell them and be safe.

Well mine's staying off regardless. The tester isn't allowed to remove anything for the MoT, and my emissions were better with it removed than last year anyway.

My 2004 D2 (Landmark) has not got sunroof blinds either.

Think I will just leave it on then until I can get one with a fake CAT. I've read that removing the EGR will fail the MoT, but as you can't even see it without removing the engine cover (which the tester can't do), I think it will stay off.

Well that's one of the reasons I started a new topic, to try and get some up to date information as most of the topics I found when searching were from 2008/09. If it will fail the MoT, how come so many people have it?

Thanks for the info guys. Well I've replaced the fuel pump, not fixed it. Replaced the injector seals and harness, we shall see tomorrow when I take it for a drive.

I'm guessing by 'single electrics' you mean the black socket that provides power for the trailer's lights? And you want to fit a white socket to provide power to a caravan?
