If the problem is that when you switch the wipers off they stop where and when they want then I would look at the relay/motor. If they are just stopping on their own then I would get in touch with an auto-electrician. Could be better than a place you clearly don`t trust.

Thanks Nodge, that helps, I should have said I have an 06 Td4 Fl1. Has anyone out there already done a fit like this? I`ll be back with more questions later.

I forgot to say that I don`t think the one for an Fl2 will fit an Fl1. I`m looking forward to learning more.
