It looks to me like the same fitting as the detachable which is rated at 3.5t and from what I've read, LR still happy sub 2t. Surely it's viable nodge.

Would anybody know, could I use the fixed towbar as a detachable? As in just use the centre piece? Then could attach a ball and pin flange? I'm only towing perhaps 350kg tops.
