hey mik, how's yourself? it's the haggis close season just now, so they tend not to stampede just quite so much, but thanks for concern. talking of 'beasties', is wilson tied up with the drying out last years teabags or what? the laddie's never been so quiet!

    Defender 90 brakes...

hi roy just for the record, what make were those duff pads?! might save us all from same bad experience... i haven't had to replace pads in my 90 yet, so i can't offer a tried and tested name. you could find out what the OEM pads were for your spec of 90 and use them. always cheaper when not...

    Poor brakes on Defender 110

hi nush i'd suspect perishing somewhere on vacuum hoses, as you mention was a gradual deteriation. Given that pedal doesnt sink, then you can rule out leaky/contaminated fluid, or air in the system (double check that pedal doesnt 'pump up') A slight increase in vac when revving also suggests...

Why a series Landy, why not something sensible, or at least relaible........

'scuse the delay, but had to comment... Nail on head, Fattom. My earliest memories were going to Highlands to visit family for our thrice yearly annual hols. We had to go over - at the time barely what people would know as a road, 1 in 4 grad' - a serious hill road, and were transported in...
