hi cheers for the advice i have a new gasket and a new crank oil seal after a lot of phone calls to various engineers ive found out there has to be a perfect seal between backplate a the end of the crank must have a mirror finish for the seal to work as for the rubber bung no one has ever heard...

hi hope the picture shows what im trying to explain well here goes where the oil way is near the crank there is a hole that seems to go in as far as the sump it says there should be a rubber bung to block the hole is this right or can i seal it off ?

hi thanks for reply the problem is i have a auto box from a rangie with a 200tdi discovery engine it pulls like a train up to 50 from 50 to 65 it struggles after that it dosent want to know i was told auto boxes have diffrent gears for petrol a diesel and this could be the problem ?
