That type of compressor is a sod as it will suddenly move and trap loose flesh, which is why I allus uses an extension on my big one, i.e. the one that does it with a head off.

Castrol is LR official supplier. I use fully synthetic 5w40 for my td5.
I think you should upgrade to a full synthetic and stick with Castrol.
