Hi all, haven't been on here a while but moving house and came across a brand new centre console that takes the sat nav screen. I imagine these are pretty rare and would be useful if you're planning a nav retrofit, etc. Attached pic so if anyone is interested let me know. Cheers...

Well I've replaced the o rings which was a pain. However retrimming the headlining was by far the worst job!

It could be a lot of hassle to fit. Personally I'd go for something aftermarket. Don't forget that sub is 13 years old now, I'm sure the modern stuff will sound better if it's quality you're after :)

I had the same problem and bought a screw extractor kit. Managed to use it without removing the dash too.

Nah, it's really thin tape. So unless you've got complete lack of control over your hands this wouldn't happen.

You can get amalgamating tape from Maplin. It's basically thin rubber that once applied joins together to become waterproof.

I disconnected the blue wire on mine for a year before replacing the receiver module with the latest one. Had no problems, only pain was having to hold the blipper next to the rear window to lock/unlock the car.

You can buy new headlinings on ebay for a couple of hundred quid if you search, some of them offer a fitting service too. I retrimmed mine myself and it was harder work than I thought it would be.

I think he might mean lack of. In fact he did well did get a diesel P38 up to motorway speeds to be honest :D
