Hi all, got a 96 300 tdi with some of the usual problems, nice to hear and learn about other peoples experiences with these motors, i live in St Asaph North Wales Steve

300 TDI Have found that one of rear shock absorbers can be waggled around by hand at the bottom and makes a noise, do i need a new shocker or is there a replacable bush that maybe warn please

Thanks for the help, but having read through some older posts i removed the 3 way pipe that runs from the thermostat housing to rad and header tank and one was blocked solid managed to clear out a load of brown gunge. Put all back together refilled and bled and now great, no cold water in header...

Hi all, could someone tell me if i put a pressure tester onto the header tank and pressurise the water system, assuming no external leaks show and the pressure drops, would this confirm head gasket failure. Any help much appreciated many thanks steve

Could anyone tell me if a pressure test on a 300tdi via the header tank would confirm head gasket problems if there are no external leaks to be seen and the pressure drops, any advice much appreciated thanks
