    New landy owner.

Hello and :welcome2: I had a 19j 90 on a F plate. Engine died when my Dad neglected to keep a check on the coolant. Head gasket went a melted 2 pistons. We should've dropped a 300TDi in then, but at the time we didn't have anywhere to work so let it go. I really miss it and want one...

Is there a big difference between a 94 and say 97 model

I wish mine had - I've got it all to do next year! Wish me luck...

Is there a big difference between a 94 and say 97 model

I think most guys on here would agree that the biggest problem is rust. My '94 is terrible, my '97 not so bad and probably only because it's had 3 less years on the road. If a '94 (or even a 200TDi) didn't have rust (or at least bad rust) then it would still be a sensible choice if the price...

Is there a big difference between a 94 and say 97 model

Very true! My '94 doesn't have an airbag but it is just a 300, not a GS or ES or anything. It doesn't have remote central locking either. It's also a bit obscure as it's a very early 300 so a some parts are main dealer only, like window regulators. There are difference in parts - the rear...

    Mot

I took my '94 300 TDi for MOT in early December. My fail sheet was 2 pages. Pretty much all rust though. I'm going to attempt to fix it when the weather improves - until then I've got my '97 ES to get round in, although I'd rather have my green meanie... Good luck with fixing it - let us...

    MOT concerns

Exhaust sounds like an MOT failure. I'd be fitting a new back box although you'd probably get away with extending the current pipe, so long as it's fixed properly and doesn't effect the operation at all. Loose indicator may be, I'd get that fixed. Missing mudguard and bumper end caps won't...

    MOT Tomorrow - nervous!

I had a that sort of mechanic when I lived in Derby. Well worth knowing someone like that. He fitted a cambelt on one of my cars about 5 years ago and I still haven't paid him! Look after him with some beer tokens.

    MOT Tomorrow - nervous!

I know the feeling. My older truck failed due to significant rust. All the usual places - boot floor, sills, chassis near rear suspension, inner wings. I couldn't justify paying someone that much to fix it, so if I can do it myself I will, if not I'll be breaking it. I'll running my other...

    MOT Tomorrow - nervous!

Well lads and lasses, Guess what - it passed! No advisories, but there are a couple of bits that the tester pointed out to me that may become issues in the future: OSR of sill. Just starting to rust. I know it's box section but I don't know if it's worth replacing or just patching...

    Its starting itself!!! Help Please

I would suggest a google of the relay part number to get the datasheet. Just had a quick google myself and there seems to be stuff for siemens v25134. I can't make out the numbers from the photo though. Can you let us know what they all are?
