Update, I was all setup to get the sump off today, but the weather has intervened, the old girl is needed untill the white stuff has gone away. Will keep you all posted. John.

Hi, Drained the engine oil the other day, in the drained oil was a short piece of steel pipe approx 4mm outside dia. and a small piece of metal. I think the pipe is one of the piston cooling jets broken off from its fixing block, and the bit of metal is possibly a small piece if piston skirt...
