    yippeeee ! she runs ! New wiring diagram is far more detailed and showed up something on fuel pump relay. It seems that relay is powered and makes its switch thus powering 87 and 87A. Unfortunately the relay we used was powering 87A but switching off 87 simultaneously thereby down powering...

    I assume that if it were a concealed isolator then the starter motor wouldn't function so I've ruled that out. I wondered about the absence of the inertia switch as there was one originally on the Lotus ( recipient).+ I've installed a 6.8 ohm resistor in the coil + lead and changed the tune...

    The ECU is indeed switching the fuel pump relay but nothing beyond . The engine relay is switching as it should and the engine will turn over and fire on the key

    Thanks gents, I'm afraid I'm still struggling. Terminal 40 on ECU is fuel pump/ engine speed control / lambda sensors and apparently requires a 6.8 K ohm resistor in line. I have been advised that it is not necessary to use the lambda sensors on this application but my local electrician can't...

    Final bits of wiring have thrown up a puzzle for me. The wiring diagram for the 14CUX shows fuel relay and main relay with a common brown wwire apparently linking them but it doesn't show the source of power to either one. Are they powered from ignition, alternator, battery or what ? Once again...
