Hi, opening the bonnet and tailgate don't seem to affect it. Just the doors.
The connections appear to be as tight as they should be

According to my dad he has also checked it with another volt meter as well as the one that is fitted Inside the vehicle.
Effectively it seems to sit around 12v unless any of the doors open and then it rises to 14v
An auto electrician has looked at it and said it was odd

Hoping someone with better knowledge than me can help with a problem.
My fathers freelander 2 diesel seems to have a charging issue. When driving normally it puts out about 12.3 volts according to a fitted volt meter. When stationary it also puts out the same voltage as well. The battery...
