have a laugh at this one

Granted, it's not beautiful and it's not a Land Rover but the wheels and 'dumper' tyres hint that it's been built for some sort of serious offroading activity - swamp wading or something, maybe? Those huge wheelarches make me think it might have been used with bigger wheels and tyres in the past.

    Hilux pulled me out!!!

Hi! I remember once at an RTV trial, the way in to the venue was through a gateway that had become very muddy and slippery. Several people had found it a bit tricky getting through and one Land Rover got stuck - I think it was a Series 2 or 3. Anyway, after it had been moved, someone drove...

    Update

I should think the lashing eye and bolt are OEM - as for the other bits, who knows. The tailage pins might have started life on a farm trailer or something for all I know!!!:D:D I bought them at an Old Sodbury Sortout, together with an old tailgate, for use when I took the hardtop off my 90 in...

    Update

I introduced myself about a week ago. As I said, I'm 'between Land Rovers' at the moment. But I wanted a signature picture so I had a scratch around in the garage to see what I could find - the pic is the sum total! :( One sidelamp lens, a lashing eye, two tailgate locking pins, two used...

    Calling all Females!

When I used to go RTV trialling, there was a young woman who could do in an old 88" series 2 everything that blokes were doing in modified V8 90s. Of course , the old 88 usually couldn't get as far up those wheelspin hills they often put at the end of stages, but apart from that she was pretty...

What have you done on your Defender today?

I looked ads on the net for something that might become my Defender 110!! I'm 'between Land Rovers' at the moment!:D

    90 as a soft top?

I used to have an old 90 hardtop and we had the roof off that a few times. Removing the truck cab should be a bit easier than a full hardtop. I think there's a sticky rubber sealing strip between the windscreen frame and roof, so it might need bit of an upward shove to part company. The...

    Hi from me...

If I can stretch to owning 2 Land Rovers at the same time, maybe a V8 for the second one! But I need reasonable economy for the day-to-day one.

What landy is best off road ??

I voted Defender. I suppose the 101 might be better in some circumstances but it's big and cumbersome. A home-made hybrid could be almost anything, like a 6x6 with portal axles and huge tyres or whatever, so I missed that out of my train of thought.:)

    Hi from me...

Hi, this is my first post here. I'm planning to return to Land Rover ownership after a break of a few years. You might say I've managed to stay 'clean' for that time but the craving has returned! My last Land Rover was an early 90 Hardtop petrol, B reg. It was one of the last 2286 cc...
