    D2 hazards flashing - won't start

Hopefully someone can shed some light on this. I have a 2001 D2 4.0 Thor, I parked it up for 2 weeks and when I came back to it i have this issue: The vehicle locks/ unlocks fine with the key fob and the immobiliser light on the dash is not illuminated. As soon as I put the key in the ignition...

I believe I may well have found the solution to my problem. That being the output shaft speed sensor in the gearbox. I have measured its resistance and its 300ohm I believe this value should be around 900 to 1200 ohm. Im going to try and source one and fit. Ill let you know how I get on...

Im guessing this is the soeed sensor

Ok so ive run the live nanocom and im getting 0 on turbine speed rpm and 0 on output speed rpm. Any ideas?? Cheers

Thanks mate ill give that a go. At the minute im swaying towards it being the speed sensor...purely because the fault clears and stays cleared even when maneuvering around and only flags back up after a normal drive and with it being the exact same fault and symptoms. So I think I may try...

I have done that a few times. Exact same fault and the only fault religiously the same behaviour with the changing up at 3k rpm etc. There are no engine faults or anything :/

Stall test completed 2200rpm no problem. So this means the torque converter is fine yes?? So where to go next??? Cheers

I was thinking that. So If I do a stall test that would point me in the direction of mechanical or electrical??

So I decide to invest in nanocom evolution. There is only one gearbox fault P0722 stall speed monitoring Turns out the 'specialist' I went to with his expensive equipment must have been an absolute ****** because according to rave this means torque converter slipping :/ I reset all...

The guys auto logic didnt display the error codes as in RAVE which is a bit annoying because its not helped me pinpoint the fault at all....only a message and that wasn't in plain English it was full of dashes and all sorts of gobbldy gook. But the guy said it was a comm. fault soo :/

Thanks for the info mate. I guess I'll go back and get the values reset. Can they do this with autologic??

And not after i replaced the MAF no. if that's what you meant....don't fancy paying another £30 to see the same fault lol

I did have them read yes. There was only one fault came back and the guy said it was a communication error and pointed me in the direction of first replacing the MAF and then said trace a possible wiring fault

The MAF has been replaced with a brand new one and no longer shows as a fault in the ecu. After replacing now I am getting o2 sensor circuit malfunction (bank 1, sensor 1)Front sensor LH bank stoichiometric ratio outside operating band and o2 sensor circuit malfunction (bank 2, sensor 1)Front...

I have a rave manual and am aware of how to check continuity so I guess that will be my next job. If i am correct its the yellow wire and the white wire. Ill check it out when we get some half decent weather and let you know how I get on. Thanks for the advice
