D2 hazards flashing - won't start

Hopefully someone can shed some light on this. I have a 2001 D2 4.0 Thor, I parked it up for 2 weeks and when I came back to it i have this issue:

The vehicle locks/ unlocks fine with the key fob and the immobiliser light on the dash is not illuminated. As soon as I put the key in the ignition and turn to ii the hazard lights immediately start flashing and will not turn off until the battery is disconnected. The engine turns over but will not start (like there's no fuel - if I spray fuel into the inlet it runs - so there's spark but seemingly it's not fuelling).

I have tried entering the EKA code - and get all the right signs that it has been accepted but still same issue.

I have also tried bypassing the inertia switch on the firewall, as I've read that can cause this issue but still no joy.

Also the battery is fully charged so can't be low voltage etc.

I'm not sure if it's an immobiliser fault or a fuelling problem - but you can't hear the fuel pump priming when the ignition is turned on.

Anyone any ideas - surely someone has had this fault in the past.

Thanks in advance

The symptom is like when the inertia switch doesnt close the main relay's coil though.... check fuse F13 engine bay and if it's good measure for voltage in the inertia switch's plug brown/black wire and if you get voltage there swap relay R9 with R8... according to the results we'll speak again
