Hi All,
My LR has just gone for an MOT and needs a few bits doing but the MOT centre has also said that the rear propshaft is really dangerous and needs replacing.
Is this an expensive job? Can I get 2nd hand bits?
I have no idea. Might just sell it if it is a lot of investment...

Hi There.
I have just done this too. No idea how to fix it. I doubt mole
grips will shift it and theres not the room to use an extractor I don't think.

Does the car need to be supported in any way before removing these bolts? I am slghtly concerned at what happens if the bolt in pic 2 is removed and the LR is just sat on it's wheels. Looks like part of the steering mechanism?

Apologies if this seems a daft question but I wanted to see if anyone had a view on whether removing the guard shown in the picture would cause a problem at all?
Basically, the guard is slightly bent and when the steering is locked to the left, the edge of the guard rubs on the front...
