Haldex Gen 4 pump wanted. Freelander 2

Hi, Hope someone may be able to help. Pulled out the Haldex unit for a clean up and clean the pump filter. On the way I managed to drop the metal pump cover and crack one of the field magnets in the cover. A scrap unit would be fine as long as the magnets are in tact. I will of course pay for...

    Fault Codes

Hi everyone. Finally made the move from the Disco 2 and bought a Freelander 2, 2010 HSE. I miss the D2 but am enjoying the smoothness of the F2. However..... having put the Nanocom on the F2 I have found a list of faults. I've cleared them several times but they reappear. There are no fault...

    Disco 2 Occasional Lumpy tickover

Hi My Disco 2 TD5 has recently started cutting out or getting a really lumpy tick over that clears with revs. Happens just a couple of times a week. I suspected the fuel pump as when the fault occurs I cannot hear the fuel pump running and it’s normally quite noisy (Bearmach pump less than 12...

    Camshaft timing

Hi thanks for the advice. Tried that but there is no way to turn the camshaft without damaging it, no flats or places to grip it. Also the slotted holes in the sprocket mean that the sprocket has to be in the correct position relative to the camshaft or the bolts won’t go in properly in the...

    Camshaft timing

That doesn’t work James. He has set the sprockets out of sync. The timing pins cannot line up. Thankfully he has gone too far with fitting out the head so did png try starting the engine.

    Camshaft timing

Hi, hoping someone could give a definitive answer. My mate has just put the head back on his Disco 2 TD5. But because the marked links on the timing chain had faded he has set it up one tooth out on the cam sprocket. With the head fitted it’s is impossible to move the chain on that one tooth. So...

Disco 2 Fuel Pump Pressure TD5

Disco 2 Fuel Pump Pressure TD5

Hi all My Bearmach fuel pump fitted less than 2 years ago is now only pushing out 50 psi (3.5) bar instead of the rated 58psi (4 bar). I have for a while had some vibration and what seems like a misfire above 2100 revs but the engine seems to full full power through the higher revs. Not sure if...

The that's no problem ,can soon do that. Drop me a PM Re Re the starter problem check the thin wire at the connection to the starter. Give it a good clean up. It's a known fault and caught myself and others out. An easy fix.

sorry me again, td5 auto vibration at 2k rpm....

Hi I have the same issue with my 2001 auto td5. I've created a few threads on the issue but no real feedback that pinpoints the problem. There are threads on other forums, one that runs to 39 pages on this same problem, but yet again no real result. I've spent lots of time and money trying to...

Disco 2 Bloody vibration still there!

Hi No oil in the ecu. Check it regularly. Going take the rocker cover off and check the injector loom continuity. And, for what it's worth gong to check my injectors resistance. Will keep informed.

Disco 2 Bloody vibration still there!

I had the manifold skimmed when I did the head some time ago. The manifold was well warped and the top stud had blown out of number 1 port. I thought I'd solved the problem at that point. Not to be though, the buggering thing was just the same. Keep the ideas coming though. The answer will be...
