    Tmax dual battery monitor fault

I recently had a wiring meltdown on the monitor wiring, when reconnecting my tmax due to a faulty relay. After rewiring and reconnecting, the 2nd battery led's on the monitor aren't working, and I remember seeing in a post someone had put a circuit diagram for the monitor which I think showed an...

    LPG spark plugs

I use Magnecor leads, aftermarket uprated coil, and ngk plugs re-gapped to 0.7mm. As long as the LPG system is set up right,it runs great. Irridiums aren't recommended for LPG apparently.

    Discovery Sill Replacement

Try a local steel stock supplier if possible. You should only need 100x60x3 for most upgrades.

    Warm up time.

Didn't touch thermostat, plenty of good quality coolant. Will try bleeding again, just in case of airlock. Will also check thermostat as just remembered I put rad seal in the old rad,and might not have fully flushed system before fitting new one.:o

    Warm up time.

A slight hijack of the thread as my Disco 1 3.5 V8 is very slow to warm up. I've recently fitted a new cam etc. and a new radiator, but now it takes about 5 miles for the needle to start moving on the gauge, and then stays there.I was on the motorway last night cruising at about 70 for about 15...

    New cam? Which one?

Ran it for about 10mins around the estate, checked for leaks etc, and all ok. Ran it around for 3 days with cheaper oil in,then drained it and put Mobil 2000 semi and slick 50. Now runs very smooth. Not any real noticeable power difference,as it's a standard upgrade cam,but nicer to drive and...

    New cam? Which one?

I totally agree with doing the lifters, as it's you've got to take them out anyway. As I'm on a budget, I couldn't go for a better cam. Hopefully I've attached a picture of my old cam showing the badly worn cam lobe.

    death wobble ???

Good point. Forgot to say steering wheel would go off centre and stay there before I renewed everything.

    death wobble ???

Mine has developed the wobble since putting a replacement track rod on with new ends, new end on the steering arm and new damper. wheels were balanced a few months ago. I replaced the track rod as my old one was bent from dropping onto a rock months ago,but didn't have a wobble after. It only...

    New cam? Which one?

Managed to do it over 2 days quite well. Didn't use any gauges or any special equipment, just followed haynes manual and common sense. I marked the dizzy position well, and got the timing all smack on,when it went back together. I changed the timing chain and gears as they were cheap enough from...

    New cam? Which one?

Going to start mine today, and was wondering if anyone could give a rough timescale on how long it should take. Mine's an efi. I've got a 3.9 cam and oem followers, timing chain and gears going in.

    Defender td5 wheel stud replacement

I had a look and managed to move a couple of the studs through, but can't angle them enough to take them right out.

    Defender td5 wheel stud replacement

I've looked through the forums but haven't found anything on this. Can the front wheel studs on a Defender td5 be replaced without removing the disc? Someone had loosened my nuts, and the wheel and studs are now knackered. I've got new studs ready to go. Cheers
