just noticed on e-bay a guy selling rear suspension bits n peices, enough to convert from air to spring... item 230330706028 also has other disco items..

i have a 99 v-reg diesel 5-door 15" alloys, and have just been offered a set of 17" alloys off a 02 3-door petrol. the guy tells me they will fit as the cars are the same shape (apart from 3 and 5 door), is he right, will they fit???

downsizing to one car and my motorbike, the wife loves her freelander so it looks like the disco is going!! 99 td5 auto. 120k 5-seater, half leather (land rover text) in KINVERSAND !!!!! 18" alloys,l/r boot liner, floor mats, bull bar, multidisc.roof bars, etc etc quite a nice one if i say so...

just been out in the snow and got the code off the VIN tag, checked this on the link posted by TSM72 and he's right, its KINVERSAND, CODE 609 thankyou !!!!!! it's so not red in the avatar !!!!

thanks for all the replys !!! now, its definately not red.. and it states BRONZE on the V5, i have not looked at the VIN tag but i feel sure this will only state the paint code.. its the nice orange colour..you know the unusual one everyone likes.. WHATS IT CALLED !!!!!:doh:

New rear diff mount fitted and tyres set to 32 psi all-round..... sounds like a different car!! (well a much quieter one at least!!!!) as an all round vehicle quite pleased with it, actualy took it out instead of the disco this morning!!

just done the vcu tippex test and props no longer line up, so ok there, fingers crossed! on trying to turn the rear wheel with it jacked up i noticed the rear diff flexing way too much, looks like the diff mount is u/s, so off to change that.. tyres ..i have two new ones on the front and odd...

Yes, it seems odd that when put in neutral the noise is practicaly the same, could this indicate tyres or maybe bearings ?????

i have a 99 diesel model which seems quite noisey when being driven at speed.. everything seem fine ,brakes steering etc but there is a lot of noise/vibration from the rear end... if i put it into neutral at speed the noise is still there.. any ideas ??

Yeah lets all be positive !! but there is a VERY fine line between "diy enthusiast" and "whats going to be the next pain in the backside failure"!!!

pipe found birst on chassis leg below reservior, repaired and system re-filled. now 100% again thanks for help !!!
