    FL2 rear view mirror.

Went out this evening in my Freelander 2, I managed to pull the rear view mirror off its mount whilst trying to adjust it. I pulled over into a layby and tried to fit the mirror back on but after some fumbling with a torch trying to locate the correct position I still couldnt get the mirror to...

Freelander 2 not displaying mileage range.

"Take a look at the owners handbook. The Freelander 2 has loads of stuff, which takes lots of reading to discover it all. ;)" Yep, there is a big wide folder/wallet in the glove box containing service booklets and handbooks etc, I really must acquaint myself with their contents ;)

Freelander 2 not displaying mileage range.

Many thanks Stv123 & Nodge68 for your replies. Please accept my apologies for my ignorance. I have now restored the "range remaining in the tank" display. Thank you :)

Freelander 2 not displaying mileage range.

Thank you very much Nodge68 for taking the time to reply ;) Well how emabrrassing is that , one question though, how do I cycle through the display screens? The two buttons at the bottom of the rev counter are none functional and sit below the clear plastic screen, the button below...

Freelander 2 not displaying mileage range.

Haven`t used my Freelander 2 much since New Year apart from a couple of short drives just around the block to keep the wheels turning ;-) Got in it today and noticed that the anticipated mileage range was missing. I am sure it used to mention how many miles worth of driving were left in the...

    Freelander 2 chassis details.

Thanks very much Nodge68 for your reply and the link to AF ;) Just had a quick look for shockabsorbers and track rod ends, they seem very reasonable prices too. Have placed this company in my bookmarks tab as well :D Many thanks again.

    Freelander 2 chassis details.

Just looking for some clarification please. I have taken my 2006 Freelander 2 for an MOT today, it passed OK but there were a couple of advisories mentioned and looking on the internet for replacement parts I am being informed that the chassis is AWD - L359 ( see copy screenshot ). I will...

Freelander 2 drivers side air vent.

I think you are probably right. Just another thought, I did try coupling the two parts together before uncoupling then coupling back together again before fitting into the vent flap, this gave me the assurance the two parts should clip together when fitted to the vent flaps. As mentioned...

Freelander 2 drivers side air vent.

Dont know about the Eos but on the FL2 there is a dedicated slot at the rear of the central upright flap where the black rear fixing locates. Once located you can hold that in place whilst you pop the front shiney part on the front;).

Pleased to share, anything that helps others is good with me as I might need some help and assistance in the future ;)

Freelander 2 drivers side air vent.

Cracked it. Pliers or tweezers didn`t do the job as they couldn`t straddle the upright vent flap and hold the back bit firmly enough to push on the front shiney section. So made up a small holding bracket, tucked it behind the upright vent flaps and popped the front bit on. :)

Freelander 2 drivers side air vent.

Thank you Ian for taking the time to reply ;) I have been tinkering around this evening trying to fit the two pieces back into the vent flaps. The shiney plastic sliver section acts as a sprung loaded c clamp for the black plastic rear section. I have used long nose pliers, tweezers, folded...

Freelander 2 drivers side air vent.

Thanks very much Nodge68 for your reply, as you mention there are some replacement parts available for the vents, however since my post I have managed to use a pair of long nosed pliers to retrieve the old part black part sitting inside the vent flap as seen in the second photo. I have tried...

Freelander 2 drivers side air vent.

Would like some help and advice on my drivers side air vent. I have taken a couple of photos to help demonstrate the issue. The shiney plastic chrome operational up and down slide has become detached from the rear section which currently sits inside the vent. Does the vent cover lift off so I...
