    HOLE SIZE

Hi Waldamar, I've made a restrictor with a 1.5mm hole in it to start with. Good idea to make another with a bigger hole to swap, thanks for this idea. Regards, Seaboy

    HOLE SIZE

There is a small restrictor (part no. ETC6243) in the fuel line between the vapour separator and the Weber carb on a 110 2.5l petrol. Do you have one of these or can you tell me how big the hole is in it please? (The restrictor from the parts book only looks about 6mm dia x 6mm long with a small...

Thanks Freelance for interest - tried Rimmers but they can't supply one either. But I've made one now, just got to get the hole size right, it looks around 2mm diameter in the parts book. I know, not perhaps a reliable reference but I need to start somewhere :)

early 90 doors - trim clips which one?

Suggest you look at the Bresco company, they have lots of different automotive fasteners/clips. I used some of their door clips for fitting my new Exmoor Trim door cards in my 109".

Stripped nut - how do I save my shock?

Guess you'll need to run a thread die down that shock's thread otherwise you'll just ruin a new nut for sure. Possibly use two ordinary nuts (helps lock them together) as end of thread looks stronger. Also suggest adding a spire lock washer as I doubt a lock nut would hold on the worst part of...

    Lift Pump Problem

Hi Border, If all else fails, I appreciate access is difficult but I'd try sawing the bolt head off (I assume it's only one bolt head that's rounded). Suggest using a single bladed holder or turn the blade 90 degrees. Once the pump is off you'll have more access and a longer bolt shaft to work...

Hi Freelance, Many thanks for supplier suggestions - Craddocks don't have any, Famous Four can order from Land Rover but cost c£17.50 plus VAT! Land Rover Direct can order one for £18.60 plus VAT! Silly money for a small plug with a hole in it. Sorry, I'm not familiar with Dimmers? I've tried...

    External fuel pump positioning 110

Hi John, Thanks for this. I'm converting to the electric fuel pump from a 2A mechanical fuel pump as petrol was dripping from the Weber carb housing and I have very sooty plugs. As you suggest, I suspect the mechanical pump pressure for this set-up is too high. I believe the Facet pump I and you...

    External fuel pump positioning 110

Hi John, Meant to add that rear mounted pumps are vulnerable to lots of mud and dirt being thrown at them so a shield of some sorts helps to keep them clean - don't forget they have a filter on the base and a line filter was fitted to the original arrangement I believe. Hope this helps.

    External fuel pump positioning 110

Hi John, I've just mounted one of these electric pumps on the outside of the chassis rail under the driver's seat of my 109" Series 2A. Usefully, removing the plate under the seat gives excellent access. The pipework's still in progress but the cold and wet outside is not helping.

    FUEL RESTRICTOR HOLE DIAMETER?

I have a 109" 1970 station wagon. I've just swapped its diesel engine for a 2.5 ltr petrol removed from a Land Rover 110 but I'm having fuel flooding problems. Apparently, there is a small restrictor (part no. ETC6243) in the fuel line between the vapour separator and the carburettor. This...
