Can the onboard computer effect the ride comfort

Yep. The diagnostics guy turned up. Explained to him how the car seems to go from luxury to harsh after a few days of getting it back from the garage. He wasn't convinced. He took one look at my tyres and said that's your problem. I explained I'm happy with the ride some of the time dispite...

Can the onboard computer effect the ride comfort

Ouch, that's expensive.......but a good investment if you're working on cars regularly. Will wait to see if the ECU reset today brings the luxury ride back. If it does then I'll buy myself a lower cost diagnostic tool and periodically reset the ECU....in time I'll use this board and tinker...

Dave, Where do you buy the kit you're using? Snap On?

Can the onboard computer effect the ride comfort

Ran it for 15 mins with the driver door open........didn't seem to make any difference to the ride quality. I have a guy popping down tomorrow to reset the ECU.......if this brings back the luxury ride then at least I'm a step closer to finding out what's wrong.

Can the onboard computer effect the ride comfort

Would it be worth running the car for 10 minutes with the door open to see if it makes any difference?

Can the onboard computer effect the ride comfort

Does running the engine with the door open always allow the compressor to fill the tank? Strangely the car doesn't seem to be getting lower.

Can the onboard computer effect the ride comfort

Thanks for the reply. Very informative. I've just measured the heights and they seem okay - give or take 5 or so mm. From time to time though the driver's rear arch does seem to sit low. Seems to drop when I lock up the car. I've also been conscious of a ticking sound from the boot which...

Can the onboard computer effect the ride comfort

Hi, I've had my 2004 Range Rover Vogue for a year now. I've noticed the luxury ride comes and goes. There does seem to be a pattern emerging. When the car has been in the garage and plugged into the diagnostic machine the car comes back and rides fantastically - floating on air. After a few...

80k mileage - replace air bags?

If after 120k miles you're still on your original bags then maybe it's something else. The ride did seem to go to pot after I had the air suspension calibrated after a height sensor replacement. The guy did it completely wrong the first time and adjusted the height much too low. I may have a...

80k mileage - replace air bags?

Hi, I find my 2005 Vogue feels every bump in the road. Consequently I'm not finding the ride particularly smooth. I do have low profile tyres but I'm convinced the air bags etc are tired. The car does have 80k miles on the clock. I did purchase the Vogue specifically for the ride comfort...

No water to the back window

Hi, I've recently bought a Vogue L322. From buying it the rear windscreen washer hasn't worked. First job is to see if it's simply a blocked jet - but I can't seem to find it. Any help/guidance much appreciated. Regards, Mark

Range Rover Upgrade To Digital TV

For less than £400? I guess you fitted it yourself? I'm in Hull, East Yorkshire and keen to have this done. Certainly not something I'd tackle myself though.

Loss of the luxury driving feeling after air suspension callibration

Picked up the Vogue last night and it is now the correct height. Drives like a dream again. Fantastic!!!!!! Thanks again to your help. Mark

Here's the side view. Certainly looks low to me. What do you think?

Loss of the luxury driving feeling after air suspension callibration

Hi Wammers........I'm convinced the back end of the car is sitting low at standard height setting. Is that what you'd expect if the air pressure was too high?
