Hi guys i have a 98 freelander 1.8xei. the problem i have is a droning sound from the rear of the vehicle once i get past 25mph. i think it could be the wheel bearings but somebody has mentioned the VCU (hope not). can anybody help. and please dont say torch it:doh:

i have thought about an old classic range rover just unsure about the running costs. its unlikely one will have a small engine such as a 1.8 so the tax is gonna be astronomical, thanks gordon for that one. i wouldn't mind a vogue though. what are the older models like do you know?

nice one mate. what do you suggest then? something a little later or maybe a disco? i really really would like a nice s3 long wheel base safari but the gaffer wont have that. she said they are too spartan and at least freelanders look like a car inside lol
