    Engine to Clean

As dieseldog said, gunk is the mutts. I use it all the time to de-grease bits and pieces, brush it on, scrub it in really well, rise it off and repeat until clean. For really stubborn stuff I give it a good blast with brake and clutch cleaner first to break it up and allow the de-greaser to soak in.

Jago’s Land Rover 90 rolling resto/work vehicle build thread

I bought a set of Recaro’s (from a golf supposedly?) to fit. I set about fitting them with a friend of mine and god they’re difficult! We tried to fit the Land Rover runners on the bottom, but the seat base was touching the steering wheel! We got the drivers side in finally, but it’s not pretty...

Thanks mate! They’re 12.5 inches wide on an 8j rim, however they only stand at 32 inches high, which is nice as they don’t catch on suspension travel whith standard height springs and shocks. I intend to replace crusty old bushes and knackered shocks etc whilst making it a nice vehicle to...

    Defender RAC parts snorkel

Has anyone got an RAC parts wing top snorkel mounted without a rollcage? I’ve only ever seen them mounted to vehicles with one, I’m curious to see how it would be secured. Thanks

Thanks Knappster! Though the 300 is far smoother, I much prefer the 200tdi, if anything goes wrong with this engine I know what I’m putting in it!

Jago’s Land Rover 90 rolling resto/work vehicle build thread

Last year I bought my first Land Rover, a 1993 Discovery 200tdi. I’d always wanted a defender, but being 18 I couldn’t afford the price of a decent defender, so I got the disco. This January I finally bought myself a 1990 Land Rover 90 with a 300tdi conversion, it’s safe to say it’s the best...
