    Hi What is the difference between a Defender & Disco 300Tdi unit? I have cooked my Disco engine, but have the offer of a 300Tdi from a Defender as a core to rebuild/replace it. Any advice will be appreciated. Many thanks, Nick.

    Thank you for your comments everyone. I will check the Rad, and have a go at bleeding it. Is there a recomended proceedure to bleed?

    Hi my Disco runs very well, but suffers from overheating. I have replaced the head gasket, and the "p" gasket. The symptoms are this; Vehicle seems fine, then one of two things happen.     I am afraid that this is a fairly common problem. If I were you, I would Helicoil all of the stud holes during the replacement to avoid a re-occurence. You need an M8 Helicoil kit which are fairly inexpensive
