Heater low temperature, lack of power, connected?

Hi, just picking up on this now. The distractions are sorted and I had a few other jobs to do before getting to the gutless performance. Thermostat done and it warms up now and maintains temperature BUT the heater is still only mlldly warm on full heat....it used to burn skin off in the past...

Heater low temperature, lack of power, connected?

I will do thanks...may be a while, have a funeral to deal with. It always drove fine even with the high pressure reading which without the Hawkeye would have been unknown. Thanks again.

Heater low temperature, lack of power, connected?

Thanks, replaced the sensor on the manifold...no change!

Heater low temperature, lack of power, connected?

I think I understand that thanks....so I need to look at fuel temperature too? Are there any things I could look at for its gutless performance? Turbo boost seems fine. Coolant temp is low 80 degrees so thermostat to do. Not had EGR for many years. Only fault I pick up is EGR of course and for...

Heater low temperature, lack of power, connected?

I posted yesterday about low heater temperature but re post having learnt more in the hope a TD5 expert can help! I have previously been trying to sort out a lack of ooomph! up hills it is gutless and I suspect top end though it is not pushed fast on the whole. It does seem over 70 is just runs...

    Discovery 2 heater issue

The heater in the truck is barely getting warm......on form it is roasting. We have the climate control, dual. Each side goes cold on low but on hot only just get slightly warm air to blow. The truck gets to temperature so it is not running cold....middle of gauge. I know I have had this issue...

    Manifold Pressure high logged 3030

thanks, yes I am waiting on a fusebox then that will be done. I will trace the wiring back from the sensor on the top of the manifold, I am not sure where it gets bundled within the loom but will go as far as I can. Thanks again.

    Manifold Pressure high logged 3030

Bit of an update and it is worth noting I had another post about indicators/hazards not working and a strange emblem in bottom left of mileometer LCD......no idea if this is all related. I have now got that emblem and no central locking or remote locking! The alarm/imobiliser by the way I had...

    Manifold Pressure high logged 3030

Thanks, I will get some live data readings and come back over the coming days and post back. My reference to the boost gauge reading was for two reasons. First to show it has boost and if there is a leak it is only small but secondly the boost has dropped to where you say the limited amount in...

    Manifold Pressure high logged 3030

Thanks to you both, the 18-19 psi I had set previously when working on the truck. Strangely the lower 15 psi boost has only manifested SINCE changing the sensor on the manifold. I may put back the old one I took out to see what happens. I only removed it because I had the over pressure code all...

    Manifold Pressure high logged 3030

I understand that explanation thanks........but driving it does hold steady boost

    Manifold Pressure high logged 3030

it has boost...15psi. Dont think it has a leak.

    Manifold Pressure high logged 3030

Thanks, truck is baing a pain at the moment! had it 16 years so know it well. I replaced the sensor in the top of the inlet manifold held in with two bolts. I did look at Haykeye live data before I posted......it confused me (does not take much on modern c ecu type cars !!) as it seemed to be...

    sorry..forgot. Disco 2 TD5, pre facelift.

    Manifold Pressure high logged 3030

I have a constant fault on the Hawkeye...clear it, start it and even just run on drive the code reappears. 3030 manifold pressure. Any ideas, I have put a new sensor in and just the same. If it has any bearing....EGR removed long ago
