I seriously considered removing the prop but have read conflicting reports about using the vehicle for any length of time in this condition. Planned to keep it a couple of years. Appreciate that there are threads already regarding this, but can it be used indefinitely without the prop?

Ok, I have used Island 4x4 for bits before. Bulked when qouted silly price's. So the opinion is that the VC is out of balance and that is why I am getting re-occurring problems with the bearings failing

Hi All, Thanks for your responce... I suppose the moral of the story is don't own a landy unless you have a big fat cheque book... Yes, I could put it in the Landy Garage, but at £120/hr it's a bit off-putting. I had checked out the VC £650 new and £200 plus second hand of ebay...

Replacing the two anti-roll bar link arms cured my annoying knocking noise when driving at low speeds. About £15 each.

The rear mounts were replaced 6 months ago, same time as the bearings..

Has anyone ever experienced, and found out why they have had a repeat failure of the Prop bearings? twice in 1 year. Prop bangs on the chassis when going round a corner... Is it due to poor quality bit's or is there something else causing this to happen?
