Well, it not a truck cab anymore. I put on a soft top which I really like. Much less engine noise. And I'm in the process of painting it marine blue. First coat is on. Slowly getting there.

Yes there is fresh oil in it. I know they are known to make some noise. But what about that clutch sleeve question?

Is it correct that the clutch sleeve in a Fairey overdrive is not turning relative to it's surrounding components when the overdrive is not engaged and should therefore be silent? Trying to pinpoint grinding noises in my od.

Thanks for the tip. But new tubeless rims means I'd have to get new tyres as well. Don't want that, the ones I have are as good as new so that would be a waste of money.

By the way, the flat tyre was caused by the tyre slipping on the rim and ripping the tyre valve. It this a common problem with tubed tyres? And can I somehow prevent this?
