The replacement tps has done the trick. It's running perfect and (sadly) is now for sale on eBay...

    Classic engine revs fault

I've now changed the ignition amplifier, stripped and rebuilt the distributor. The weights both work fine and I checked the reluctor gap. It's now running really sweet except for the occasional hesitation. I've got a replacement throttle sensor coming and hopefully that will sort it....so...

Yes, air suspension all working fine. No lpg either, just good old fashioned v8 petrol. I always think that original is best with these beasts!

Thanks Ukadamwest. I'm trying to sell the car so would like to get it fixed so that it's running properly. Hopefully it's an easy fix!

    Classic engine revs fault

Thanks Saint V8. I'll have a look at the vacuum pipes. I think the amplifier is quite tricky to get at but not too expensive a part to buy. I've previously attempted to remove the distributor but chickened out after I tough I might lose the timing etc.

    Classic engine revs fault

Hi, I recently got my 1993 classic LSE back on the road. it ran well for a few journeys but has now the engine has started to cut out at a certain rpm. As I accelerate it will rev up to 1800 rpm but then instantly drops to 1000rpm. it will do this very consistently and makes pulling away quite...

    Classic Electric seats

The seat ECU battery may look like this. If you get the battery removed quickly you might be able to save the board from damage. New chips are available on ebay. If the acid destroys the pcb then a new ECU will cost a fortune. Not sure where abouts you are but i found a great electronics guy in...

Have you got memory function on the drivers seat? If so, then check the ECU under the drivers seat to see if the battery has leaked onto the circuit. If so, get the battery removed and the board cleaned up asap. Replace any damaged chips and put in a NiMh battery instead of the old NiCad.

    Classic ABS

Thanks for the help. This sounds promising as I think the pump ran for about 1 minute and presumably the accumulator would have been completely discharged when I removed the pump? Today I will try and see how often it runs. Will I need to bleed the system? ( I'm a bit worried i might be...

Update.....just went out and tried the brakes. Its working again Does anyone know how long the pump should run for to charge the system? Thanks

    Classic ABS

Hi, i have an LSE classic with ABS fitted and i'm trying to get the brakes to work. The pedal is firm but there is very little stopping power unless you pump the brake pedal. The ABS pump didnt seem to be running so i took it apart to clean the filter inside and then re-assembled it. The pump...
