Thanks Allan - I’ll deffo have a look at the heat gun thing - I think a dye may be the answer. I get the feeling that the hard plastic of the Classic Dash just cannot hold it’s colour. I think I have some back to black somewhere which is actually a white cream colour, so I may try scratching...

Not sure, a bit of careless handling when moved around the garage. They are not deep or anything, but leave a white line, like the colour has been taken off.

Many thanks - I wish the previous owner had known that! Do you know if they ever bend back in? I have adjusted the catches as best I can and even moved the lower tailgate in a little - so now at least they both do latch correctly.

Thanks Norseman - that intel on AC having 4 vents is great to have. I have no idea if mine has AC :) But clear now that the donor car does not have it! I assume that the presence of the AC compressor is the only real way of knowing. Thanks again.

Hi Jayridium, Well that was a great explainer -many thanks. Seems logical to me then that as my car has been converted to RHD and the various bits moved - the standard springs are the answer. Thanks for taking the time.

I am probably being ignorant here... Wouldn't a larger spring of the same Lbs value simply keep the car a little bit higher - not necessarily give it more weight bearing ability?
