My daughter-in-law has a Freelander 2 and the wipers have stopped. The local garage in Devon have suggested that the Body Control Unit is at fault and that the replacement will cost more than £1,000. The local LR agent has quoted £200 for a plug in diagnosis.

We have had the Freelander for five years. Before that we had a Discovery and much further back a series 3 LWB with a Safari roof. We used it for towing and I wish that I had never sold it.
We have just moved house to East Sussex and need some advice.:)

A local garage here in Lewes in Sussex has suggested that the slave cylinder could be changed as it is a complete unit and this may make a difference. We thought that the slave cylinder was inside the gearbox but apparently not.
There must be someone out there who knows the best route...

We are having problems with selecting the gears on our 05 Freelander. It is a bit notchy and first and reverse are the worst. I can manage but my wife is not so strong and wants a gear selection like every other car.
