    If yours continues past 3000 rpm then it won't be the wastegate. Another cause could be broken or corroded tracks on the TPS on the pedal but this would cause a loss of power at a certain pedal position rather than a certain rpm. Jap imported EDC models didn't have a spider fitted but not sure...

    The EDC ECU will cut the power at 3000rpm if the wastegate is stuck shut to prevent overboosting. It's really noticable going uphill under load and feels as though it's trying to change gear but it isn't. This doesn't explain why it's cutting out but may be the reason for your loss of power...

    I keep meaning to give the 'evry mod' a try on my EDC. I'm going to fit an EGT gauge first though to be safe but it's worth trying for the cost of a simple resistor and a switch. Lots of info on youtube and google for the mod.

    Tacho is fed from the back of the alternator. Thin wire with a spade connector.

    I couldn't find a dip stick \ filler pipe 2nd hand and needed one in a hurry. Had to go to a main dealer and it was £96 plus vat for the tube and that was around 4 years ago. I needed the autobox sump as well and that was only £40 in comparison !

    Camel cut is just a slight cut on the rear quarter. Cutting the rear doors is normally only done when you are fitting flexi arches.

    What makes you suspect the airflow meter? when mine went into limp mode it turned out the be the temp sensor on the top of the head. Leaving it disconnected got rid of limp mode. I did replace the sensor but no joy so it's been unplugged ever since.

    About 3 years now and they certainly haven't gone saggy. Despite the bad reputation I've heard nothing but good feedback about Britpart springs, a few of the lads I go laning with use them on D1's and D2's and they swear by them.
