have you had a look at the piston to see if it is scored?.

Something similar happened to me not long ago. id check the metal connector things that the fuse sits in.
try taking the fuse out bending them in a little and putting the fuse back in.
was just a bad connection on mine

yeah thats green. arnt there some paint shops that will mix you up the same colour if you bring a sample in?

i have goodyear g90s on the front and general sag radials on the back and my 90 drives fine like that. so you should be ok

alrite guys and gals only thing i tow is my dads 7x4 ifor williams cage trailer full of logs or scrap. wouldn't fancy towing anything biggest than that if theres any hills involved. the 90 goes up em slow enough as it is.

when i replaced mine i had a similar problem.
take the uj out and check that there isn't a burr or a dent in the edge of the yoke stopping the cup from going all they way in.
if their is a round chainsaw file should sort it easy enough

id also check the vin on the chassis against the registration

check the chassis with a hammer and screwdriver.
Get under the car and give the props a good shakin to check the ujs for play.
If you take it for a test drive check it doesn't pull to one side when you brake, and you don't get any knocking from underneath

dunno about the numberplate. but the welsh dragon sounds familier. think the one i saw had hilift extreme bolted to the right of the rear door.
